Short Film Meetings

So far, my team and I have met up 2 times and I'm glad it's been progressing pretty well. We've ironed down major roles and the backbone of the story. So what's next is to furiously collect references and get our hands 'dirty' in the conceptual art. Sounds pretty fun!

There's seriously tons of things for me to learn as a Producer. I'm not like 100% sure what a Producer does, so I'm really just learning along the way. Since I currently find myself better at the administrative stuff rather than being a director, so it's pretty comfortable for me for now.

Right now, I'm trying to find out efficient ways of scheduling meetings and managing projects. Thank God for all the software available!

Next, my headache will be file-sharing.. and in the future, budget managing.

Headache Animation Practice

So, I think I've more or less finished uploading my backlog of works into my portfolio (yay!). And now it's time to get serious and regularly update my stuff.

Anyway, what I've been up to since completing my training at 3dsense is basically going on holiday, applying for jobs, do some animation tests and wait for emails/calls.

It's quite an interesting experience I must say because unlike jobs in the 'normal' world, you just probably need to go through interviews. But anyway.
It's definitely been a humbling experience because it has further opened my eyes to how much more I need to work on my craft.

I did an animation practice on my own because a studio looked at my reel and said that there wasn't enough acting shots.

So here it is. It's not my best shot though. Did it within slightly more than a day.

Packing For Japan

I'm left with less than 2 weeks to pack and my mother has pretty much been nagging at me to start packing.

But how does one even begin to pack for a month?

(Basically, I'm going to Japan for an Art Residency Program at Studio Kura in Fukuoka, Japan. It's a month long program and it's my first time overseas ALONE. But I think it'll be an incredible experience. I'm supposed to post something about my experiences there everyday, so do hang around, sip a cup of coffee or two and wait for my updates. Muahaha.)
